Outdoor Portraits
More and more requests for portraits or fun family photos outside of the studio has lead to us launching a brand new service in 2010 that caters for these type of photo shoots. Combining a studio session with the fun and dynamic nature of the outdoors produces a stunning set of photographs that you’ll treasure.
This style of photography always producs a one of shoot because the weather, surroundings and the people in it make the shoot. Obviously weather is our biggest hurdle but as long as its dry (or we know its wet in advance and get the wellies out!)
We use the wonderful surroundings nearby such as Hotham Park, the beach at Aldwick, elmer, clymping or the witterings, slindon wood and many other locations and we are always happy to go to a specific location that you enjoy and would love to be photographer in, including your own back garden!!
The great thing about this service is t is a very personal shoot tailored to suit your requirements. The shoot happens in a number of stages:
- The Details
Most important is to work out what you would like from the shoot, whether it be photos for family for presents of a frame or canvas to go on the wal at home. This is important because it helps tailor the shoot to your needs and budget. - The Location
Whether you have somewhere specific in mind or whether its just an overall feeling you have we make sure we know where we will be going and if it’s somewhere I haven’t taken photos at before then I will always visit the location prior to the shoot to familiarise myself with the location. - The Shoot
Typically location shoots are better in the mid afternoon when the light isn’t as harsh but we will leave a window of opportunity so that we can make the most of any great weather and work round and potential weather problems. We usually allow 1-2 hours for a shoot so that we have time to explore and have a relaxed fun time, sometimes they come together very quickly and we can be done in under an hour but we make sure we allow plenty of time. - The Viewing
We fix up a time at the end of shoot to come to the studio and view the photos, we prepare and process some that stand ot and put some together to show you some ideas (based on what you wanted from our initial conversation)
The whole process leaves a lasting memory of a fun time out as a family as well as a wonderfl set of photos and something to treasure and keep.

The costs for this start at £155.
Although we offer everything from our normal pricelist we find the outdoor photography works best (and works out cheaper for you) by working with one of our custom packages. These packages start from £295.
